MY VMK: Faepril/fairy month, April 2023.
Fairy Month, also known as Faepril was one of the more popular months on My Virtual Magic Kingdom. The month’s theme was inspired by a player made game suggestion. My role for Faepril was designing the weekly Host prizes, several bi-weekly shop items, Easter crate pins, special Easter contest prizes, and a special Quest prize set. Some of the items I created were designed based on player made game suggestions.

HOST PRIZEs
Featured here are the four sets of HOST prizes awarded to attending players of the weekly HOST events for the Faepril theme on My Virtual Magic Kingdom in April of 2023. These prizes consisted of accessories, pins, and furniture.
Week 1
Week 1: Winning Host prize, Monarch Butterfly Backpack.
Inspiration
For the first week of Faepril, I chose to design a Monarch Butterfly Backpack for the winning prize. In MyVMK, wings are an ultra rare and special type of item, so I conceptualized a backpack to produce an affordable alternative.
Week 1: Consolation Host Prize, 2 in 1 Purple Pixie Bush and Queue Prize, Orange Monarch Butterfly Pin.
Inspiration
For the month of Faepril, I chose to design various colored pixie bushes for the Host consolation prizes. These were inspired by a staff suggestion, keeping the builders of MyVMK in mind when deciding items to create for their building use. I also decided to design various colored Monarch Butterfly pins for the queue pins so that the players have more options for accent pins for their lanyards.
Week 2
Week 2: Winning Host Prize, Hold-able Bell flower Staff.
Week 2: Consolation Host Prize, 2 in 1 Yellow Pixie Bush and Queue Prize, Yellow Monarch Butterfly Pin.
Week 3
Week 3: Winning Host Prize, Gold Elf Flower Headdress.
Inspiration
Week three Host prizes for Faepril consisted of some of my favorite items I have designed for MyVMK. The Gold Elf Flower Headdress was inspired by forest pixies. I wanted to use the heart motif and complement the golden headdress with purple blue flowers. My goal was to design a headdress that was fun and whimsical, and could be worn by players in various different outfits.
Week 3: Consolation Host Prize, 2 in 1 Blue Pixie Bush and Queue Prize, Blue Monarch Butterfly Pin.
Week 4
Week 4: Winning Host Prize, Tinkerbell Backpack.
This backpack was designed based on the Tinkerbell Loungefly backpack.
Week 4: Consolation Host Prize, 2 in 1 Green Pixie Bush and Queue Prize, Red Monarch Butterfly Pin.

MY VMK: Passover 2023, April 2023.
One of my goals I had when accepting the role as a Graphic Artist on the MyVMK team, was to ensure I created items that were inclusive whenever I had the opportunity to. Representation is pertinent to the players of MyVMK and myself, and I hope that everyone knows that they are heard and listened to. A fellow team member and I reached out to a player to learn about Passover and potential items they would like to see created for special Passover shop releases. These items I designed were concepts provided to me, and I had the pleasure of bringing their ideas to the game.

Passover Traditions as Inspiration
These Passover items represent different Passover traditions in the Jewish Culture.
• Bitter Herbs Hat: The bitter herbs represent the bitterness of slavery. These are called Maror, bitter herbs eaten the night of Passover.
• Seder Plate Shirt and Wearable Seder Plate: The shirt and the Seder Plate are meant to be worn together. The Seder Plate is a symbolic plate and it contains 6 symbols foods that retell the story of Passover, the exodus from Egypt.
